Road Closure Information

Most roadways along the circuit will begin closing at approximately 5:30 AM on Saturday, September 6th with all streets along the entire race circuit closed by 7:00 AM. 【1】

  • FALLS RD: Saturday, September 6, 2025, between 5:30 AM-6:30 PM 【2】
  • Harbor Point (Central Plaza): Closed from 5:30 AM - 12:00 PM (Women's Race Start)
  • Inner Harbor (E.Pratt & Market): Closed from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Finish Line)
  • Pratt Street: Closed from 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Primary race route)
  • Light Street: Closed from 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Primary race route)
  • Charles Street: Closed from 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Near Washington Monument)
  • Fleet Street: Closed from 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Fells Point area)

Closure Timeline

  • 5:30 AM: Most roadways along the circuit begin closing

  • 8:30 AM: Women's Race begins at Harbor Point
  • 11:40-11:45 AM: Women's Race finishes at Inner Harbor

  • 6:00-6:30 PM: All roads expected to reopen

Detour Routes

The following detours are recommended for navigating around the race course on September 6, 2025.

North-South Detours

  • East of the Course: Use I-95 or I-895 for north-south travel
  • West of the Course: Use I-83 or Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard
  • Central East-West: Use Fayette Street or Baltimore Street as alternatives to Pratt Street

East-West Detours

  • Northern Route: Use North Avenue or 25th Street
  • Southern Route: Use Fort Avenue or McComas Street

Public Transit Adjustments

  • Metro Subway: Normal service expected
  • Light Rail: Possible delays near Camden Yards and North Avenue stations
  • Local Buses: Expect detours on routes 10, 20, 30, 40, 51, 60, 64, 70, 75, 80, 91, and 320
  • Circulator: Orange Banner and Green Banner routes will be detoured

Fan Zones & Viewing Areas

The course includes 28 turns, two climbs and a final flat stretch of 1,000 yards. Fan zones will be located at key points along the route. 【3】

Start Line - Harbor Point (Central Plaza)

Best viewing for the race start. Arrive by 7:30 AM for the Women's Race and 11:30 AM for the Men's Race.

Facilities: Restrooms, food vendors, team presentation area

Washington Monument Area

View one of the two climbs on the course. Racers will pass this area multiple times during each circuit.

Fells Point

Historic waterfront area with multiple viewing opportunities. Racers will navigate several turns in this area.

Finish Line - Inner Harbor (E.Pratt & Market)

Best viewing for the race finish. Women's finish expected 11:40-11:45 AM, Men's finish expected 4:21-4:46 PM.
